Track advertising campaigns with tracking and campaign key

If you want to track your advertising campaigns, you can add a tracking key (for vendors) or a campaign key (for affiliates) at the end of the links you use for the advertising campaign.

* TRACKING KEY/CAMPAIGN KEY will be displayed under Reports > Transactions for a purchase made via the respective link. You can freely choose your tracking key/campaign key, but it must not be longer than 127 characters.

The text TRACKINGKEY that is marked in italics can be replaced by any combination of text and numbers. This means you can freely choose your tracking key. However, please do not replace the "?ds24tr=" that comes before it.
Please pay attention when selecting your tracking key!
Please ensure that your tracking key is not longer than 127 characters and that is only consists of the following characters:
- Small and capital letters, but no umlaut
- Underscores
- Hyphens
- Numbers

Examples/Use Cases
Tracking key example (vendor)
The vendor John Smith sells the product "Yoga for beginners" with the ID "12345".
He places ads for this product on Facebook and Google using the promolink for his product.
To find out which campaign works better, he added a tracking key at the end of both promolinks.
For Facebook , he replaced the tracking key placeholder with " Campaign1Facebook".
For Google , he replaced in the tracking key placeholder with " Campaign2Google".
His links now look like this:

If a customer purchases his product via the Facebook promolink , John Smith will now see the placeholder "Campaign1Facebook" in the column "Tracking key" under Reports > Transactions.
If a customer purchases his product via the Google promolink , John Smith will now see the placeholder "Campaign2Google" in the column "Tracking key" under Reports > Transactions.
Campaign key example (affiliate)
The vendor John Smith sells the product "Yoga for beginners" with the ID "12345".
The affiliate with the svencart ID " JaneDoe" advertises this product in her email newsletter and on her blog. Jane Doe places this product's promolink on the blog as well as in the email newsletter.
To find out which campaign works better, she added a campaign key at the end of both promolinks.
For the email newsletter, Jane Doe replaced the campaign key placeholder with "Campaign1Email".
For the blog, Jane Doe replaced the campaign key placeholder with "Campaign2Blog".
Her links now look like this:
